Writing Assignment 2: Dear Little Sister (Final Version)

Dear Little Sister,
Have you ever seen this photo that you sat on the gray sofa when you were pretty little? Actually, it was taken when you were three years old. You were so adorable in that photo. When Mom was going to take a picture of you, you were shy but you still remembered the victory gesture.
You are almost as 165 cm tall as I now and it is not the height that we will call "little and cute", right? However, you are still a cute sister to me. You have a sweet smile when you are in a good mood. You have lovely voice especially when you talk to me on the phone. Nevertheless, you don’t have round eyes which I think are cute. Instead, you have big eyes with single eyelids. As you look at me, somehow, they show seriousness and firmness. Your eyes reflect your personalities. You are earnest as well as determined to do the things you believe are right.
There is a clear difference between the present of you and the little of you in that picture. You are 18 years old now. The challenge waiting for you ahead is The College Entrance Examination. Your face shows some fatigue. I can imagine how late you stay up and how lonely you study without me by your side in our double room because I study in Soochow University so I moved to Taipei. The midnight has passed but the desk lamp is still bright. You sit at the desk with your textbook open. You play music since you say music can make you concentrate on studying.
I always encourage you to study earnestly so that you can get in the good university you want and I know you never forget my words. Also, there is one more thing that I’d like to remind you. No matter what difficulty you face, look on the bright side and smile as you smiled in that photo.

Love,
Eileen

Writing Assignment 2: Dear Little Sister

Dear Little Sister,
Have you ever seen this photo that you sat on the gray sofa when you were pretty little? Actually, it was taken when you were three years old. You were so adorable in that photo. When Mom was going to take a picture of you, you were shy but you still remembered the victory gesture.
Now, you are almost as 165 cm tall as I. It is not the height that we will call "little and cute", right? However, to me, you are still a cute sister. You have a sweet smile when you are in a good mood. You have lovely voice especially when you talk to me on the phone. Nevertheless, you don’t have round eyes which I think are cute. Instead, you have big eyes with single eyelids. As you look at me, somehow, they show seriousness and firmness. Your eyes also show your personalities. You are earnest as well as determined to do what you believe the things are right.
What the present of you are different from the little of you in that picture is that your face shows some fatigue on account of the pressure of The College Entrance Examination. I can imagine how late you stay up and how lonely you study without me by your side in our double room because I study in Soochow University so I moved to Taipei. The midnight has passed but the desk lamp is still bright. You sit at the desk with your textbook open. You play music since you say music can make you concentrate on studying. I always encourage you to study hard so that you can get in the good university you want and I know you never forget my words.
Eventually, let me wish you something. No matter what difficulty you face, look on the bright side and smile as you smiled in that photo.

Love,
Eileen
